RchVanho2, Windows has a set of diagnostic tools built into it that checks everything from your hardware to your memory and network issues. There should be information there that will tell you if Windows has found any system issues.
This file contains critical information that can help the user diagnose the problem and fix it. The problem can still be easily diagnosed. I had an HP desktop a few years back that would blue screen every single time I started the computer. The fix was as simple as disabling the HP keyboard driver in startup. Next time you get a STOP, make note of what you were doing when it happened.
Read the message on the screen fully. While it might look like a mess of nothing important, the information in that error message is critical to you. Write down everything it says, especially any codes, filenames or STOP information that it gives you. You can then take those codes and Google them. There are web sites that catalog every known STOP error and you can use that information to help diagnose your problem. Once you find your error and you WILL find it cataloged somewhere because you are not the first or the last to have that same error you should be able to easily find detailed instructions on how to fix it.
Your computer is helping you try to fix the problem by telling you exactly where the problem is occurring. Hard drives usually last anywhere from years based on a number of factors usage, environment, etc.
Hard drive failure will generally give you symptoms that you can both see and hear. Clicking, grinding or screeching noises coming from the hard drive are indications of a possibly failing hard drive.
Slowing down could be that there are just too many programs installed in start up or from malware. Freezes and lock-ups can be caused by software conflicts, too many open programs, driver issues or even overheating. Backing up any data you have on the machine is a good idea on the off chance your hard drive could be failing. One of my favorite hobbies is pushing a system to a break and then fixing it.
To all of those who use Opera: My old version Java works fine BUT since it uses a Chrome platform, my husband is almost certain that Java games will not load on that one either in the near future. Have a good weekend everyone. They are also planning to do the same thing as Chrome with regard to Java and have begun notifying companies about that so that they can update their products. I assume those of you who are perfectly comfortable with Internet Explorer would be very upset if that were the browser that was no longer going to be working with Java, and you had to switch to Chrome or Firefox.
Click on these on the Badge Hungary and Pogo websites to allow cookies and extensions. I am still using Windows Vista. Now can use Aviator for my main Pogo account and Firefox to double browse on my second account. There can be several versions in release as well as bit or bit platforms.
You might choose to dedicate 1 single browser solely for playing Pogo only. That way you would use Google Chrome, for instance, for everything else. It is prudent to have more than 1 browser installed. On the positive side, after all these changes, your system may end up being more secure.
Good luck. Best of luck with obtaining a good backup browser that will be simple to learn, yet reliable, and one you can count on for all your internet needs!
Has anyone successfully used the workaround, yet? Any concerns you would like to share? I am unable to use firefox or IE on my desktop… I am hearing a lot about Aviator and how great it is, but when I did a search, many articles commented on their loose security; while Aviator says their security is very good. Any thought on this issue?
I want to try Aviator, but not if they have lax security. I cannot find any browsers that actually work with pogo anymore. You get just so far and then it either says you need to update your flash and I have the newest installed or it says my java is old..
Again I have the correct one installed! Apparently I wasted my money on that Pogo Club membership.. Am pretty ticked about that! JC 79 — Pogo does not give refunds for any reason. And there are only a very few that are having problems. And there are a ton of people just like me, playing every game and not having a problem. You just need to figure out what is different in your settings that is not allowing you to get to the Pogo games.
It is not a Pogo site wide problem. I am still using Windows XP. I am using Chrome to play all the Flash games. I have had minimal problems. The recent Mahjong Garden Badge took forever because the game was slow and jerky. Sweet Tooth was slow and jerky, as well, but I did earn the badge. Pogo Bowl is impossible. Canasta and Everyone Wins Bingo will not load. Boggle Bash will freeze, the screen goes dark, I can hear the next round playing, but I cannot play. So far those are the only Flash games giving me trouble.
For all the Java games, I use Firefox and have had no trouble. I will get the usual warning about needing a Java update, but my puter cannot handle any of the latest updates.
I am hopeful these problems will go away when I get my new puter. I hope this helps anyone who is experiencing problems with Flash and or Java games. Workaround There is a temporary fix to enable Java in the Chrome browser, but it will only work until Chrome removes the workaround, currently estimated to be September or earlier. Comments I can tell you that Internet Explorer 10 works just fine with Windows 7. Personally the graphics are better in Chrome, and that is my choice to keep it.
Equally important. Can we avoid updating to version 42 since ver 41 works fine?? I mean look at the Warning. Besides it wont work forever. Internet Explorer will still exist for legacy support. Avaitor seems alot like chrome. Might want to check it out. This is much easier to disable Chrome Updates. Very simple way. To make it clear, open your chrome browser.
Scroll down to disable Google Update It will read disabled. This works only if you have not updated your chrome browser. Javascript needs to be enabled on your browser for Pogo to load.
